Why should you have this type of coverage to offer to your clients? It's pretty simple:
- ACA plans provide very little if any coverage when traveling or residing internationally.
- Medicare Supplement plans F and G cover 50,000 lifetime internationally.
- A BCBS group plan will generally cover what the group covers domestically abroad, but you are subject to the same deductibles, copays and co-insurance.
- Insureds with “other” group health coverage may not be aware of limitations and should check with their provider for details.
